Dear Friends:
I don't know if "broadcast" is the right term to use for Internet Radio but, yes, starting on Saturday, January 31 I'll be spinning the best blues tunes from all eras when I debut "My Kind of Blues" on WPDM (www.wpdm.org ) at 3:00 pm. My good friend and radio colleague Steve Propes ("R&R'n'R&B") has been after me for years to join him on the Cerritos College-based internet station and his wisdom has finally prevailed.
I was listening to an old Xmas air check of my "Nothin' But the Blues" show and was reminded of how great the old music was and how little of it is heard nowadays. I was also reminded of how much fun and how gratifying it was to put together a program of unforgettable blues.
So, my weekly 2 hours will be filled with the best historic and contemporary blues i can find. Please join me, on your computer, at 3:00 on Saturday, January 31 for the stat of what I hope will be a long and satisfying run of "My Kind of Blues". WooHoo!! Congrats! This sounds exciting but it shouldn't have taken you two years to debate to do this. You're going to have so much fun!!! And anyone wanting to get into radio, radio dj, talk show can do this in 6 months under at a radio station. http://www.radioconnection.com
