Escape the Fate, Sing It Loud, I Set My Friends On Fire and The Blackout to perform free fan concert June 24

Epitaph Records, in partnership with the truth® youth smoking prevention campaign, imeem, Mozes and The Knitting Factory, announced today details of the free concert, "truth®'s Live Playlist: In Conjunction with imeem and powered by Mozes," featuring incendiary headliners Escape The Fate along with Sing It Loud, I Set My Friends On Fire and The Blackout.
The bands will rock a free concert for fans at the Knitting Factory in Los Angeles on Wednesday, June 24 with doors opening at 6:30 pm PT. Fans can also stream the live concert on truth®'s official profile on imeem, the world's largest social music service, at http://www.imeem.com/thetruth.

truth® is the nation's largest youth smoking prevention campaign and the only national campaign not directed by the tobacco industry. At the concert, truth® will be present with its iconic orange truth® truck and Crew Members who travel the country every summer engaging with teens and educating them about tobacco use in subtle and fun ways. The truth® Crew Members engage teens by performing impromptu rap sessions, join-in free-style demos and giveaways of popular truth® gear such as t-shirts, bags and bandanas.

Using Mozes' mobile services, fans are invited to call 310-694-5139 for additional information and to obtain a free mobile ticket to the event. During the show, attendees can send messages to the bands via the Mozes Text-to-Screen engagement tool that will be displayed on the jumbo screens throughout the concert, as well as participate in contests and giveaways via their phones.

Fans can also visit truth®'s profile on imeem to listen to free music playlists and enter into a sweepstakes to interview one of the bands at the concert at http://www.imeem.com/thetruth.

After the show, fans and attendees can visit imeem to enjoy videos of the performances, photos and get mobisodes of the concert delivered to their mobile phone. imeem is the world's largest social music service, enabling people to stream unlimited music and videos for free, express themselves by creating music and video playlists, and find friends with similar tastes.

The event kicks off a new effort by the truth® campaign to rename the term ‘Lung Cancer' to ‘Big Tobacco Disease,' in response to the fact that 90% of Lung Cancer comes from Big Tobacco's products. Teens at the event will experience elements of the campaign through arresting artistic displays using dynamic lighting and visual effects that bring tobacco facts and campaign elements to life. Signatures for the cause will be collected at the event through wall covering graffiti stations. In addition, truth® will debut branded gear created specifically for the Big Tobacco Disease effort. Beyond the entertainment aspects of the event, the artistic displays, signature collection and gear allow for a rich educational experience that reiterates key facts and messages.

Escape The Fate - Touring in support of their audacious new album, This War Is Ours, Escape The Fate continue their path to worldwide domination with the release of their provocative new video for their latest single "10 Miles Wide," featuring Buckcherry frontman Josh Todd. Escape The Fate are single handedly bringing the bare-knuckle swagger back to a stale rock scene. Don't miss rock music's hottest act this summer on the Vans Warped Tour.

Sing It Loud - Teenagers across the country are buzzing about pop-rock's shining new stars, Sing It Loud, since the release of their debut album, Come Around, in 2008. Since then the band has been crisscrossing the country performing sold-out headlining gigs and taking it straight to the fans by playing in auditoriums at high schools along the tour. The MTVU "Freshman 5" band recently partnered up with the charity To Write Love On Her Arms, to raise awareness regarding the treatment and prevention of depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide on this summer's Vans Warped Tour.

I Set My Friends On Fire - Witty, bored and immensely creative, ISMFOF made waves in 2007 with their comedic-grindcore version of Soulja Boy's "Crank Dat." The band's 2008 debut, You Can't Spell Slaughter Without Laughter, showcases ISMFOF's unique sense of humor (as evidenced by song titles like "Beauty is in the Eye of the Beerholder" and "Things that Rhyme With Orange") with an onslaught of thrash angular guitar riffs, pulsing dance beats, brutal breakdowns, sassy screams and lush melodic choruses.

The Blackout - The hottest new rock act in the UK, The Blackout, recently released their addictive new album, The Best In Town, on June 9th via Epitaph. The Welsh six-piece is ready to take the US by storm on the Vans Warped Tour, where they will unleash their potent brew of massive rock riffs, soaring melodies and maniacal screams. With the road ahead filled with nothing but sprees, festivals and rock shows, 2009 promises to be the year the Blackout intoxicates the world.
