Remember When at Cafe 322 in Sierra Madre June 24

On Wednesday, June 24, The Jazz Vocal Group, Remember When, will make its first appearance at Sierra Madre's best musical dinner club, Cafe 322 at 322 W Sierra Madre Blvd in Sierra Madre. The only show will begin at 7:00PM and will end by 9:00PM. This event will be a return to the little village where the group was originally formed.

Remember When started as a small performance ensemble from the Sierra Madre Chorale in 1999. Over the years, the members of Remember When has changed, the group has grown and the sound has really matured to a unique close-harmony jazz style.

"We are really looking forward to being in Sierra Madre again," state group founder and organizer Steve Hawkins. "Several of our members still live in the area. We hope to do many more performances there in the near future."

Remember When started as a hobby in 1999, but has grown a lot since then.

"In 2008, we had 20 different performance dates," Hawkins continued. "Most of them were for private parties. This year, we hope to have more performance dates open to the general public."

Remember When is a performing Jazz Vocal Group that specializes in jazz standards, Broadway and movie favorite tunes, and Big Band Vocals.
