Cheap Girls' out of print debut now available

With summer in full swing, it’s the perfect time for cheap thrills, cheap drinks and CHEAP GIRLS. Paper + Plastick Records is proud to announce that Cheap Girls’ out-of-print debut, Find Me A Drink Home, is available today on 12” vinyl at the Paper + Plastick webstore:

Two versions of the LP are available: blue and white swirled vinyl and a limited run of 250 all-white records.

Recorded with Rick Johnson (of Mustard Plug and Bomb the Music Industry), P+P is repressing the remastered version of the album, and comments “Cheap Girls were too good to pass up.” With a sound that harkens back to a simpler time, before Pro Tools and Auto Tune, Cheap Girls “permeate the brain of any fan of… the Lemonheads and Samiam,” says EXCLAIM!, who also comments “Cheap Girls write simple, catchy three-chord pop songs and attack them with the verve of the later and the fuzzed-out melodic sensibility of the former.”

This under-the-radar indie rock gem received glowing reviews from the likes of ABSOLUTEPUNK, stating “Cheap Girls' album may be a breath of fresh air and a welcome listen to those who loved the raw and sloppy tendencies of 90’s indie and alternative,” while PUNKNEWS insists “this is an album meant for foot-tappers and summer drives.” Old and new fans alike will appreciate the remastered sound, 10X17 poster with artwork by Jeff Rosenstock (of Bomb the Music Industry), and colored vinyl (as opposed to the original standard black).

The Lansing, MI trio have been on the road for the past few months playing gigs in the UK and across the US, and look to continue touring this summer and fall. Later this month the band will play select dates of the Vans Warped Tour and, in September, the boys of Cheap Girls will be playing San Diego’s North Park Awesome Fast. See all tour dates below.

The band recently wrapped recording with Johnson and look to release their sophomore album, My Roaring 20’s, this fall on Paper + Plastick.

Cheap Girls is Ian Graham (bass/vox), brother Ben Graham (drums) and Adam Aymor (guitar).
