“We’re excited to kick some past with HOT TUB TIME MACHINE,” said Laurie Heller, JanSport marketing communications manager. “JanSport was a huge part of the cultural phenomena that was the 80s, from the freedom of self expression via music and style to the celebration of life’s adventures, and we’re thrilled to reconnect with an era that played a part of making JanSport the iconic backpack brand it is today.”
“We are always on the lookout for brands relevant to our movies,” commented Christine Batista, Senior Vice President of Theatrical Marketing & National Partnerships, MGM. “JanSport was an integral part of 80s youth culture, a status it has maintained without the benefit of a HOT TUB TIME MACHINE.”
