Los Angeles Team Mentoring is holding its first ever Bowl-A-Thon fundraiser at Lucky Strike Lanes in Hollywood, Calif. on Apr. 20, 2010.
14 teams of six have raised money for the local non-profit and will spend the evening bowling with friends and colleagues. The general public is welcome to join in the festivities, as there will be a variety of games, giveaways, food, drinks and more, with all proceeds from the night going to LATM.
WHY: For almost two decades, LATM has provided at-risk middle-school youth with a unique approach to mentoring, guiding them to perform better in school, create lasting relationships, build resiliency to adverse situations and realize their full potential. This innovative and successful team-based program continues to help hundreds of under-privileged and at-risk youth build self-esteem and self-worth so that they can dream and attain far-reaching goals and lead lives with positive futures.
Participants will enjoy a fun-filled evening of bowling, games, giveaways, food and drink while helping raise money and awareness for this distinctive program, which helps so many kids beat the odds against them.
