Following the success of 'build a rocket boys!', Manchester’s multi-award, Mercury Music Prize winning five-piece are pleased to announce a North American tour this fall in support of their 5th critically acclaimed studio album.
Since the release of 'build a rocket boys!' this spring, the band made a whirlwind trip to perform at this years Coachella Festival. As the sun set, the band wowed the crowds and critics alike with their powerful performance, complete with strings on stage and an impressive catalogue of songs, garnering impressive reviews hailing them as the highlight act of this years festival by many major publications.
Now, due to an overwhelming response, the band has decided to honor the demand and set their sights across the Atlantic again. The tour kicks off in the sunny south at the prestigious Austin City Limits, then up to the north-east for select shows including New York City's Terminal 5 before venturing all the way west, ending up at The Greek Theater in Los Angeles.
Earlier this year, elbow completed their first headlining UK arena tour, including 2 sold out nights at London’s O2 arena, confirming them as one of the worlds most treasured live and studio artists of our time. Later this month, the band will also be performing alongside Coldplay on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury and support to Muse at Reading and Leeds festivals this summer.
Be sure to catch the band perform live on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday, September 21st.
