Student musical benefit for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS in Pasadena June 18

College students from both New York and Los Angeles will headline a fully student produced musical benefit for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids (BC/EFA) on Saturday, June 18 at the Carrie Hamilton Theatre at the Pasadena Playhouse, 39 South El Molino Ave., Pasadena at 7 p.m.

Performers include Coby Getzug who played the role of Moritz on the recent national tour of Spring Awakening along with students from college theatre programs at Wagner College, University of Michigan and Ithaca College. The musical revue, titled I’ll Cover You from the popular song from Rent, is a reflection on love and a celebration of love through music.
Tickets can be purchased at www.coveryou.wordpress.com. General admission is $20 and student tickets are $15.

Produced by Pasadena resident and Wagner College, New York City student Allison Dufford, the benefit is being produced with the support of BC/EFA. The nonprofit organization, which funds social service work and awards grants to AIDS service organizations, has provided autographed Broadway memorabilia and merchandise for a silent auction before the show.

The Carrie Hamilton Theatre is an intimate theatre located on the second level of the Pasadena Playhouse campus
