Allynne Noelle named principal dancer at LA Ballet

Los Angeles Ballet [LAB] Artistic Directors Thordal Christensen and Colleen Neary are pleased to announce the promotion of Allynne Noelle to Principal Dancer. The announcement came at the conclusion of the traditional performances of The Nutcracker that kicked off LAB’s sixth season.

Now in her second season with LAB, Ms. Noelle was formerly with the Miami City Ballet for seven years as a soloist under the direction of Edward Villella, and before that with the Inland Pacific Ballet as a Principal Dancer. She guested as Mr. Raymond Van Mason’s partner for two years.

“As someone who grew up in Southern California, I am thrilled to be part of Los Angeles Ballet, LA’s own ballet company,” said Ms. Noelle.

At LAB, Ms. Noelle performed the ‘Peasant Pas’ and as ‘Myrtha in Giselle, and as both “Marie’ and ‘The Rose’ in The Nutcracker. Ms. Noelle will be joining Allyssa Bross and Christopher Revels who were named principal dancers at the conclusion of LAB’s fifth season.

“Noelle reflects the passionate pursuit of innovation and creativity that is so important to all of us at Los Angeles Ballet,” said Mr. Christensen. “She is a remarkable dancer and performer, and we are thrilled to have her with us. She is a wonderful addition to our Principal Dancer team,” added Ms. Neary.

LAB is currently in its sixth season, and is the city’s own professional ballet company. This March, LAB will be back to enthrall audiences with its fourth full-length ballet, Swan Lake. LAB continues to build a repertoire that underscores the creative leadership of its artistic directors, presenting timeless classics as well as innovative choreography from today’s contemporary artists.
