Kaskade to tour

Kaskade, who has been named America’s Best DJ by DJ Times and Pioneer DJ, has added more dates the his “Freaks of Nature” Summer 2012 Tour in Los Angeles and San Francisco, in addition to the recently announced Lollapalooza performance. This 50-plus city tour is already a career-milestone for Kaskade as his biggest North American tour to-date but becomes even more significant as he will be the first solo electronic dance musician to ever headline Los Angeles' Staples Center on July 27, 2012. The following evening, he will headline the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco. Both dates begin pre-sales on Tuesday, April 24th and the general on-sale begins on Friday, April 27th at 10AM PST, all info available at www.freaksofnaturetour.com.

After multiple attempts to play the Los Angeles area over the past year, the Staples show will mark Kaskade’s first proper show for the passionate Los Angeles fan base since his two back-to-back sold out shows at the Hollywood Palladium in 2010.

"The last two weekends at Coachella have been insanely electric and the new stage set up is everything I’ve been hoping it would be,” said Kaskade. “I’ve tried to take Los Angeles by storm a few times in the last year and the Staples show is finally the chance to really get all the fans in one place – it’s going to be massive and I’m honored to be the first DJ to be taking it over! I’m thrilled I get to really hit the west coast with San Francisco on the bill now, too!”

Kaskade just debuted a brand new stage set up at as the Saturday headliner for the Sahara tent that will be the same incredible stage design that he is taking throughout the North American tour visiting venues of all sizes from ballrooms and theatres to arenas and festivals.

Fuse named Kaskade's performance on day two of the second weekend of Coachella as the #1 moment of the day:

"When the Chicago-bred DJ-producer born Ryan Raddon hit the stage, it was explosive. Flat LED screens positioned on the underside of the tent, stretching from one end to another, flashed kaleidoscopic color patterns while a sexy woman's voice huffed 'Look into my eyes' ad nauseam. Then—Boom! Crash! Sirens! Jet engine sound!—and the party was underway. This was the other side of Coachella—and it felt a world away from Radiohead, who were playing the main Coachella stage on the other end of the Polo Fields. You could hear the Oxford band kick off their set, but soon they were silenced by Kaskade's dance party. I’m a huge fan of Thom Yorke and Co., but this was hard to leave."

RollingStone.com encapsulates it best: “This festival weekend and upcoming tour are pinnacles that Kaskade reached solely on his merits – and after a decade, others are noticing it. As Usher tells Rolling Stone, ‘You know, you're hanging with the best.’”

The music video from Kaskade's single "Lick It," with Skrillex from his album Fire and Ice, from Ultra Records, permiered last week on MTV and is available now on YouTube with three new remixes available on iTunes from Datsik, Alex Kenji and Norman Doray.

Ryan Raddon, known as Kaskade, has been in the trenches of the electronic dance music (EDM) scene as an original recording artist and in-demand DJ for more than a decade. He has released seven studio albums, including his latest “Fire & Ice,” scored nine Top 10 hits on Billboard’s Hot Dance Airplay Chart, created chart-topping remixes for everyone from Lady Gaga to Beyonce, appeared at all the major summer music festivals, and has performed between 150 and 200 headlining shows a year for the last 10 years, building a name for himself as an innovator of the EDM scene as we know it today. His 2011 release “Fire & Ice,” released by Ultra Music, debuted at # 1 on the Billboard Dance Chart, # 3 on the Independent Albums Chart and # 17 on the Top 200 Albums chart, while the iTunes version debuted at # 4 on the overall album chart. Currently, Kaskade has a monthly residency at Marquee Nightclub & Dayclub in Las Vegas, which he’ll continue with throughout the tour.
