Hillsides gala in at Langham Huntington, Pasadena Feb. 23

Hillsides, a premier provider dedicated to improving the overall well-being and functioning of vulnerable children and families, is hosting a celebrity-filled gala in honor of its 100 years of service to the community.  The event will take place at the iconic The Langham Huntington, Pasadena, on Saturday night, February 23, 2013.

The Centennial Gala features an incredible line-up of honorees and entertainment and a sumptuous gourmet feast. “I guarantee this evening will delight all of your senses—your ears, your eyes, and your taste buds,” said the chair of the event, Elizabeth Rusnak Arizmendi, Rusnak Auto Group’s vice president of public relations and a long-time supporter of Hillsides.    

Those being honored are comedian George Lopez, “Celebrity Rehab” talk show host Dr. Drew Pinsky, Paul Rusnak, Chairman/CEO of Rusnak Auto Group, 2003 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee Marcus Allen, NBC4 weathercaster Fritz Coleman, and  Emmy award-winning actress Jean Smart. 

Performers for the evening include the world champion of magic, Jason Latimer, violinist Lindsey Stirling, Christian Perry from “Dancing with the Stars,” and Nina Fetter & The Feds jazz quartet.  Another highlight of the gala is the live auction, where guests can bid on incredible opportunities and items such as an eight-day romantic Viking cruise on the Danube for two or an Elton John band guitar signed by the legendary singer himself. Acting as auctioneer is award-winning comedian and former star of the hit TV show “Reba,” Christopher Rich.

In addition, guests will each take home a leather-bound Hillsides Centennial Tribute Book featuring the organization’s new logo, photos, and congratulatory letters from local and state politicians, and tributes from supporters.

Hillsides, founded in 1913, has provided quality, progressive, and collaborative programs and services to more than 110,000 individuals in Southern California.  The Centennial Gala will raise funds for programs and services to help improve the lives of at-risk children, youth, and families.
