Donna Sternberg and Dancers presentation of Desire…the culmination at Live Arts Los Angeles on April 19 and 20, 2013, at 8:30 P.M.
Desire is a continuation of Donna Sternberg & Dancers science series, that seeks to build bridges between science and dance by using scientific investigation to draw metaphors for human engagement. This presentation uses the framework of plant biology to explore desire from the plant and human point of view as well as the intersection between the two. Ripe with stunning imagery, the full evening-length work dives into topics such as parasitical desire, beauty and desire, intoxication, pollination/sexuality, and the desires that reside in the deep recesses of our beings.
