Juilliard School Quartet-In-Residence & Naumburg Chamber Music Award Winner
Recently appointed Quartet-in-Residence at the Juilliard School, the Biava String Quartet won the 2003 Naumburg Chamber Music Competition and was awarded Third Prize at the 9th London International String Quartet Competition. It has been awarded numerous other honors including winning The Young Concert Artist International Auditions in both 2002 and 2003, and top prizes in the 55th Coleman National Chamber Music Competition and the 2001 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition. Members of the Biava Quartet hold advanced degrees from the New England Conservatory of Music, University of Southern California, Yale University, and The Juilliard School.
