The Epochs win Eclipse competition

Eclipse® Sets the Stage is proud to announce the winner of its music competition with maverick music site AmieStreet.com, winning a spot at the CMJ Music Marathon, a trip to New York City and $10,000.

The people have spoken, and Brooklyn's Pop/Electronic band THE EPOCHS has trumped its competition by securing the popular vote of the Amie Street community.

"And it really culminates with the Eclipse Sets the Stage competition, where they've given THE EPOCHS this awesome opportunity to showcase their talent at CMJ Music Marathon and take another big step in their musical career."
THE EPOCHS challenged bands from across the country in the uniquely digital Eclipse Sets the Stage music competition including: Eli "Paperboy" Reed and the True Loves (Boston, MA), Blue Scholars (Seattle, WA), Casey Shea (New York, NY), and These United States (Washington, D.C.).

Hailing from Brooklyn, THE EPOCHS, a Pop/Electronic collaboration formed by brothers Ryan and Hays Holladay, features bombastic electronics to seething orchestration and manipulated guitar. In Spring 2004, they were joined by bassist Kevin Smith and drummer Kotchy to begin translating their recordings into songs that could be played live. They currently feature 11 tracks on AmieStreet.com.
