Butterfly Release and Vigil set for missing Escondido teen

The family of missing Escondido teenager, Amber Dubois will be hosting a Butterfly Release and Vigil on Thursday, August 13, 2009 (this marks six months since Amber went missing). Dubois has been missing since February 13, 2009 when she left her home around 7:10am for school; she hasn’t been seen or heard from since.

Family and friends will host a Butterfly Release at 5:30p.m. at Hillsborough Private School (191 Old Springs Road, Anaheim Hills, CA) and a Candlelight Vigil will be held at Escondido High School (1535 N. Broadway, Escondido, CA) at 8p.m. Amber’s parents will also host a Vigil in New York following their interview on “Issues” with Jane Velez-Mitchell.

Search efforts continue this month with national media outreach, an Amber Ready Missing Children & Safety weekend in New York, another run on America’s Most Wanted (which will air August 15th) and monthly flyer distribution activities.
