From Big Book Records comes Melancholy Waltz, the first solo recording by piano/accordionist singer/songwriter, RICHIE LAWRENCE. A veteran of 14 years in Los Angeles, Richie found his way onto every television network of the day. NBC, CBS, ABC, as well as Fox, HBO, NPR’s Weekend Edition, and Charles Kuralt’s “On The Road”. Numerous US tours, and 3 world tours, took him to most of these United States, Eastern Europe, Central America, and Indonesia.

And now the solo debut, Melancholy Waltz. 12 gorgeous piano and accordion instrumentals and songs, harmony vocals by I See Hawks In L.A., 10 original compositions haunted by the spirit of 1900's New Orleans, one stunning blues interpretation of Beethoven’s “Fur Elise”, and one sweet duet with his wife, Katie. Richie's raw and quirky virtuosity is front and center. Songs reflecting a tumultuous decade in world history, expressed in a way that is deeply sad and sincerely hopeful; a Melancholy Waltz.
