Rikets sign with Burnhill Union Records

Chicago-based BURNHILL UNION Records is proud to announce the signing of new group, RIKETS, to their growing rock label. The band’s debut album “ALL AMERICAN DEATH CULT” will be released under the Burnhill Union name this April 2010. After the release of this highly anticipated album, RIKETS will do what they do best and embark on a live tour around the country.

After completing a distribution deal with E1 Distribution in November, Burnhill Union Records steadily began growing their roster, beginning with the signing of rockers AM CONSPIRACY, featuring former Drowning Pool vocalist Jason ‘Gong’ Jones. Burnhill Union Records was formed earlier this year by partners, Kym Affinito, Randy Kertz, and Shaun Glass (ex-SOIL, Current DIRGE WITHIN guitarist).

After spending eighteen months on an extremely hectic tour, RIKETS’ founding member Scott Rose (vocals) had a chance meeting with Burnhill Union partner, Shaun Glass, and by December 2009, a deal was set in place.

Scott explains, "Without a label home to release the album in the beginning, we did what we do best and toured. We didn’t have any other option. We toured so much that we noticed we had the ‘Sevendust Syndrome’ - you could see us in your town every 3 months."

After meeting Glass and the rest of the Burnhill Union team, it seemed fate had taken over and RIKETS had found the right label ready to take the group to the next level.

RIKETS has shared the stage with well-known rockers Korn, Breaking Benjamin, Seether, Flyleaf, and Fear Factory to name a few. The band’s members include Scott (vocals), Provo (guitar), Nick (guitar), Michael (bass), and Timmy (drums).

Stay tuned for “All American Death Cult” out this April and a busy tour schedule to immediately follow. There is no stopping this band of modern day road pirates.
