Sweet, The Band From TV and more to perform benefit concert Wednesday in Hollywood

WHAT: Stuart and Christina Smith’s daughter, Sophia Stormy, was born in Los Angeles pre-maturely on April 28th this year and needed immediate same-day life-saving surgery. On December 15, Sophia had a second surgery to correct other disorders. She is resting comfortably and, once again, came through surgery with flying colors! The surgeries, of which she will need one more, have resulted in large medical bills that the benefit hopes to raise substantial funds to offset.

WHEN: Wednesday, January 6th
7:30 – 11 p.m., Open to an audience of all ages.

COMMENT: Tickets can be purchased through the benefit website www.Help4Sophia.org, which can also be reached thru the Sweet website: www.thesweetband.com. Tickets are $55 plus a $7.53 handling fee. A preview of the silent auction is also featured on the website.

Sweet is led by founder bassist/vocalist Steve Priest. Sweet band members also include Joe Retta (lead vocals,) Stevie Stewart (keyboards) and Richie Onori (drums.) Their hits include: “Ballroom Blitz,” “Fox on the Run,” “Love Is Like Oxygen,” “Little Willy,” “Hellraiser,” “Teenage Rampage,” “Blockbuster,” “Action” among others.
