Cuartetango Music and Dance Company coming to Caltech

Cuartetango Music and Dance Company will present Romance de Tango on Friday, April 16, at 8 p.m. in Caltech’s Beckman Auditorium.

Six dancers, a string quartet, a bandoneonist, a pianist, and a singer incorporate all expressions of the tango art: music, poetry, song, and dance. Members of the quartet include Leonardo Suarez Paz who grew up alongside his father Fernando, as well as other renowned artists Astor Piazzolla, Osvaldo Berlingieri, and Horacio Salgan, among others. He has been the premiere violin soloist of several major tango orchestras and international shows, including Forever Tango, Tango Argentino, TangoX2, and Julio Bocca’s Ballet Argentino.

Tickets to this performance are priced at $32.00, $27.00, and $22.00; youth (high school age and younger): $10.00. Senior rush tickets will go on sale for $10.00, beginning one-half hour before the performance (subject to availability). Tickets can be purchased at the Caltech Ticket Office, 332 S. Michigan Avenue, Pasadena.
