John Bergstrom coming to Altadena on Feb. 27

John Bergstrom Returns to the Coffee Gallery stage.

John first performed at the Altadena shrine to acoustic music as a side man; then as an opening act. Now John Bergstrom is the headliner for a matinee on February 27 at 2:00 PM.

“John Bergstrom makes it seem so effortless when he plays. He is one of those musicians that knows how to tell a story and brings you into it. With deep spiritual underpinnings, he is filled with inspiration and he conveys emotion so well.”
- Mike Dowler of KHTS, 1220 AM radio

It is a joy driving in L.A. in the 21st Century while listening to the sweet sounds and stories of the west. I am not sure if I am the anachronism or if the music is. But listening to these songs makes the drive so much more pleasant.- Barry Eisen, actor, radio personality

John’s shows combine traditional western music with original ballads about the historical west.

“You can almost smell the campfire as John spins his tales of the old west.” Gordon Metherian, businessman.

His newest CD, “Ghosts and Legends,” just arrived and is available at all of his appearances and at SCVoutwest.com.

John describes his musical mission, “to share my appreciation for all things western and for the history of the American West.” Some of the stories in this show will include, Charlie Parkhurst, The Oregon Trail, and Black Bart.

Joining John on this show is award winning western poet, Joe Herrington. Joe has performed throughout the Southwest, has been a regular at the Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival and joins John for their third show together. There is warmth to Joe's presentation that takes his audiences on a trip through the adventures of life in the west.

John appears regularly at the Autry Museum in Griffith Park, the Tombstone Western Music Festival, the L.A. County Sheriff’s Chili Cook-off, and a variety of events in Southern California, Arizona and New Mexico.
