Duologue to release EP in US

Following up the critically acclaimed eponymous first EP, experimental London based five-piece Duologue are thrilled to make their U.S. debut with a new collection of songs entitled A-B. Set for a January 24th release, this stimulating four-song EP is proof of the band's ability to fuse audio technology with good, old-fashioned, heartfelt songs. Written, performed, produced and mixed by Duologue, A-B is full of haunting melodies, glitchy beats, bass heavy riffs and guitar solos that seamlessly soar into dance friendly rhythms that are pulled together by emotionally charged vocals.

The band's first introduction to the States is this mesmerizing live performance of first track "Push It." Watch it here :

"I guess we would consider ourselves musicians and producers in the way we approach a track, we write the song, break it apart and build it up layer by layer, using as many new sounds and beats as possible and pushing it as far as it can go" says guitarist and vocalist Tim Digby-Bell.

Deceptively named, Duologue's first incarnation was born from the meeting of techno DJ & beats programmer Toby Leeming and Digby-Bell while studying in Edinburgh, Scotland. Through a shared love of obscure electronica and subversive Detroit techno, as well as the more usual suspects like Aphex Twin and Radiohead, the pair went from bedroom experimentalists to recruiting fellow childhood and university pals Seb Dilleyston (violins), Ross Stone (bass), and Toby Lee (lead guitar) to form a fully-fledged band.

The band's ambitious writing - Leeming's hypnotizing heavy beats and poet Digby-Bell's fractured lyrics, which often tell of their frustration with the monotony of the everyday - showcase Duologue's ability to leave the listener euphoric, elated and always thinking.

In between retreating to the wilds of South England to write and produce, Duologue have found time to self-curate a number of sell-out shows with the likes of Matthew Dear, Darkstar, Breton, and Worship. In addition, the band collaborated with up and coming director and VJ, Lewis Kyle White (2 Many DJ's, Radio Soulwax, Crystal Fighters) to produce four remix videos for the songs on their debut EP. The videos are currently being hosted online at www.duologuemusic.co.uk

Duologue are starting to garner a name as remixers, having recently remixed The Drums, Little Dragon, and more. Check out their remix of the Givers "Up Up Up" here:
