Carrington College® California Pomona will host a “Carrington Cares Event” on April 25 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., offering complementary dental services to help promote the benefits of proactive dental care. Services will include oral hygiene instruction, coronal polishing, screening for a free sealant application, dental checkups and free oral hygiene kits. A dentist and students will be on-hand to share tips about how to combat dental problems and maintain good dental hygiene.
“According to the World Health Organization, ‘60-90 percent of school children worldwide have dental cavities,’” said Rebecca Appell, executive director of Carrington College California Pomona. “This event will help combat that statistic by providing complementary dental care and advice from students and trained professionals.”
The event is free and open to the public with a dentist on-hand to teach attendees the importance of proactive dental care and hand out complementary dental hygiene kits. The services provided will give attendees a variety of avenues to combat individual issues.
“At Carrington College California Pomona we work to integrate ourselves into the community through events that are mutually beneficial to students and area residents,” Appell said. “This event provides parents the opportunity to teach their children about oral health or get an extra braces cleaning and gives our students the training they need to be successful in their future careers.”
