Opry Legends: Gospel Favorites now available

The Grand Ole Opry has launched a distribution partnership with Rhino Entertainment and Warner Music Nashville, both divisions of Warner Music Group, with the two-CD set OPRY LEGENDS: GOSPEL FAVORITES found exclusively this Easter in WAL-MART stores. The project features recent recordings of gospel standards by 19 of the Opry’s legendary voices, including Bill Anderson, “Turn Your Radio On”; Crystal Gayle, “In The Garden”; The Oak Ridge Boys, “This Little Light Of Mine”; Ray Price, “”Softly And Tenderly”; Charley Pride, “On The Wings Of A Dove”; Connie Smith, “There Will Be Peace In the Valley For Me”; and more.

Future Opry releases through Rhino/Warner Music Nashville are set to include new recordings by some of the Opry’s most popular artists as well as recorded gems from the Opry’s vast library of archival performances.

“We’re pleased that through this partnership with Rhino and Warner Music Nashville, some of the Opry’s finest artists and many of the show’s greatest musical moments throughout its history will be available to music fans, several for the first time,” said Pete Fisher, Opry Vice President and General Manager.

“Rhino is thrilled to forge this new relationship with the Opry, which we're doing in partnership with John Esposito and his team at Warner Music Nashville. We look forward to collaborating on some very exciting projects in line with the Opry’s rich tradition of legendary artists and performances,” said Kevin Gore, Rhino Entertainment President & CEO.
