On March 4, UK electronic rock act Temposhark celebrates the North American release of its critically acclaimed debut album The Invisible Line. A massive hit on London's Uber fashionable electro scene (Bjork, Placebo and Darren Hayes are notable fans), Temposhark creates a slick and sexy sound comprised of synthesised pop, underground electronica, angst rock and film score soundscapes. Add an unforgettable live show into the mix and you're looking at an act that brings the complete package.
Comprised of art and fashion aficionado Robert Diament on vocals (previously worked for Banksy and other influential graffiti artists), Luke Busby on synths, Mark Ferguson on bass and Mathis Richet on drums, Temposhark have seduced the British alternative scene in both the seediest clubs (Nag Nag Nag / Electrogogo / Kashpoint /Computer Blue) and the rockiest live venues (Barfly / Marquee / Koko). They already have a strong US fan base thanks to support from KCRW, a successful USA debut at SXSW 2007 and a jam-packed club tour. In fact, 80% of sales coming from Temposhark's previous singles, remixes and EPs came from North America.
The Invisible Line features twelve original Temposhark songs that more than live up to the early promise of the critically acclaimed EPs "Joy" and "It's Better To Have Loved" (2006). "Joy" is a piece of dirty, synth-pop with pouty beats that seem to strut their way out of the stereo. The chorus is as catchy as they come and already has fans raucously singing along at every live show. "It's Better To Have Loved" is a sublime, soul-searching number produced by the world renowned Guy Sigsworth. This beautifully crafted electronic ballad features deep dub basslines and soaring strings in the chorus, perfectly reflecting the bands more chilled out stylings where Diament's vocals sound delicate and deeply emotive. Sandwiched in between these two tracks is one of Temposhark's most popular songs, "Blame." Co-written with legendary producer Youth, this track is the first single lifted from the album.
Two-time Grammy nominee Imogen Heap provides guest vocals on "Not That Big" and helps to take this epic record to another dimension with her operatic harmonies. Diament and Heap sing this "male vs. female" duet to create the ultimate anti-love song, loaded with heavy bass guitars and rock angst. Elsewhere, "Knock Me Out" and "Crime" are full of sexy electro sleaze while "Little White Lie" is a darker, rockier number with razor sharp lyrics. Bob Mould to perform at Walt Disney Concert Hall
The revered Bob Mould will perform on January 8th at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. The show, “Songs of the City,” is part of the Concrete Frequency series, described as “a multi-disciplinary series of events designed to examine and celebrate the elements that define a city, and how they are affected by, and reflected in, music.”
Mould, the genius behind seminal post-punk outfit Husker Du as well as the guiding force behind 90’s alternative-rock heavyweights Sugar, will perform songs off his upcoming Anti- Records debut District Line, called a “collection of songs [that] neatly summates the range of Mould’s considerable abilities” by Filter Magazine.
Also sharing the stage with Mould that evening will be luminous actress and musician Zooey Deschanel, the renowned John Doe, Sean Lennon, members of such indie superstar groups as TV on the Radio, Grizzly Bear and Belle and Sebastian, and many others.

Bullet For My Valentine to join Taste of Chaos tour
With the title track from their upcoming album, "Scream Aim Fire," already blazing at Rock Radio, the Welsh metal-core band BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE announces that they will join forces with Avenged Sevenfold and Atreyu on the Main Stage for "Taste of Chaos," 2008. The tour kicks off Friday, February 29 in Denver, CO, and will play more than 40 cities in the U.S. and Canada through to late April. The UK's Kerrang! magazine recently cited a Bullet show at London's Brixton Academy as one of the "100 Greatest Gigs Ever," so U.S. fans should be in for a string of sensational performances.

Carole Bayer Sager & Clint Eastwood win "Best Original Song" award
Carole Bayer Sager and Clint Eastwood have won the “Best Original Song” award for their collaboration on “Grace Is Gone” from the 12th International Press Academy’s Satellite Awards – 2007, it was announced today.
“Grace Is Gone” is the title track of the Weinstein Company’s film release Grace Is Gone, which stars John Cusack and was released in select markets on December 7th with a wide release scheduled in January. The song is performed by Jamie Cullum. This is the first time that Clint Eastwood has written a song and a score for a picture that was not his own. “Grace Is Gone” recently received a Golden Globe nomination for “Best Original Song – Motion Picture”, which marks Bayer Sager’s 10th nominations by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Carole has won two Golden Globe Awards in the past for “The Prayer” and “Arthur’s Theme.” There are only three other songwriters who have had more Hollywood Foreign Press Association nominations than Carole. The 65th Annual Golden Globe Awards will be held on January 13, 2008 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel and broadcast on the NBC Television Network.
Sager’s song,“Thankful,” is featured on the current #1 Josh Groban holiday album, Noel. “Thankful,” which was written by Sager and David Foster and recorded with the London Philharmonic, is the only new song on Groban’s CD, which is the largest selling Christmas album ever (2.8 million copies) and holds the record for the longest consecutive run at the top of the charts by a holiday CD (four weeks.)

Sager also donated her time and talents to write songs for two CD that benefits the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS charity and co-founded (with Joyce Bogart) the Neil Bogart Children’s Cancer Research Labs in L. A.’s Children’s Hospital. In addition, Sager has just joined the advisory board of GlobalGiving.com which is a web based charity.

Esotouric, the eclectic bus adventure company whose tours reveal L.A.'s secret history, has announced its first set tours for 2008, including two new entries in the provocative "Reyner Banham Loves LA" architectural series and the company's first-ever Westside tours (one true crime, the other on Raymond Chandler's Bay City stories).

On 2/16 Esotouric's first ever West LA tour, WILD WILD WEST SIDE, digs deep into the forgotten criminal past of the shore-side cities.
