Country superstar Brad Paisley earned his first GRAMMY Award earlier this year for Best Country Instrumental Performance, and last night, he collected a pair of nominations for the upcoming 51st Annual GRAMMY Awards. Paisley is in the running for Best Male Country Vocal Performance (for his #1 hit, “Letter to Me”) and shares his second nomination, Best Country Instrumental Performance, with a bevy of fellow guitar greats – James Burton, Vince Gill, John Jorgenson, Albert Lee, Brent Mason, Redd Volkaert, and Steve Wariner – all of whom joined Paisley for the guitar jam, “Cluster Pluck,” from his new album, Play.
The nominations arrive as Paisley continues to be one of the hottest artists in country music, with eight consecutive #1 singles, including five from his blockbuster 5th Gear album, which features not only “Letter to Me,” but also “Online,” “Ticks,” “I’m Still a Guy,” and “Waitin’ on a Woman.” The acclaimed 5th Gear is also home to Paisley’s earlier GRAMMY-winning instrumental performance, “Throttleneck.”
The GRAMMY nominated “Cluster Pluck” is just one of the dazzling tracks from Brad’s chart-topping November 4th album release, Play, which includes the Top-10-and-climbing smash single, “Start a Band,” Paisley’s duet with Keith Urban.
