Brokencyde postes new song online and touring in support of upcoming effort

Crunkcore innovators Brokencyde have posted the song “Booty Call” featuring E-40 online at www.MySpace.com/Brokencyde.

The track is the lead single from the group’s new album, “I’m Not A Fan But The Kids Like It,” which is set for a June 16, 2009 release through BreakSilence Recordings.

"I think we have something real monumental and it’s the beginning of a new beginning," said platinum hip-hop artist E-40 about his collaboration with Brokencyde. "I think there are going to be greater days ahead and it’s a beautiful thing."

The level of attention Brokencyde are currently receiving is unprecedented for a “scene” band that has yet to release a debut album. With well over 34 million plays already racked up on their MySpace page, word of mouth is spreading like wildfire about this Albuquerque, NM based outfit’s musical mishmash. Appearances on MTV’s TRL, digital sales on ITunes and live performances at Bamboozle Left, as well as tours alongside Drop Dead Gorgeous, Hollywood Undead and Senses Fail, have all helped create a deafening buzz for the group’s upcoming debut album.

Parents have long had a history of hating the music that drive the youth wild. During the ‘70s Black Sabbath was considered the devil’s music, while the ‘80s had Motley Crue and NWA driving parents crazy, but driving the youth to music stores in record numbers. Not since those days has an artist provoked an instant reaction quite like Brokencyde. Now with the release of, “I’m Not A Fan But The Kids Like It”, Brokencyde is out to prove that their highly addictive blend of screamo and Top 40 hip-hop is no joke.
