Middle Class Rut to release mini-LP in August

MIDDLE CLASS RUT are set to release their American debut with a mini-LP entitled 25 YEARS via Bright Antenna on August 25th. It will be available on 12" double-sided vinyl as well as in CD format; 25 YEARS is already available digitally via iTunes, Amazon and other online retailers.

Although the band hails from the US, they have spent the first half of 2009 generating a huge buzz in the UK and Europe opening for the likes of …Trail Of Dead, The Bronx, Ida Maria and Innerpartysystem. Last month, Zane Lowe of BBC Radio 1 debuted 'I Guess You Could Say' off of 25 YEARS and named it as his "Hottest Record in the World". 25 YEARS has also received a four "K" review from Kerrang! in the UK.

The US has also taken early notice as well. Sacramento's KWOD reported that the band finished at #1 for most overall plays and listener requests in 2008. And Alternative Press posted an early review of the band's dynamic live performances, writing: "…it's mind-blowing to witness the sheer depth and complexity of the sound these two guys are capable of unleashing on their own, but once the novelty subsides, you're left with incendiary post-rock with visible traces of '90s alterna-rock."

Middle Class Rut has set the bar high already, with comparisons to seminal alt-rock and punk acts popping up increasingly. As Kerrang! itself raved after seeing one of the band's live shows in the UK this past April: " sound is nothing short of colossal, and one that a mere two-piece shouldn't be able to create, combining the boisterous swagger and pomp of Jane's Addiction and the feral fury of Rage Against the Machine."

Their raw, unbridled sound as showcased on 25 YEARS will hit the road in support of this release later this summer across the U.S. as well as at a number of high profile festivals in the UK and Europe, including Download Festival, Rock Im Park, and Rock Am Ring.

Middle Class Rut is vocalist/guitarist Zack Lopez and vocalist/drummer Sean Stockham. Both musicians hail from Sacramento, California, and played in other bands together before coming together as Middle Class Rut in 2006. They have since written, recorded, and produced everything themselves, and plan to releasing their first full-length album later this year.
