TV Guide Network launches "Red Carpet Riches" sweepstakes

Taking 3-D technology and digital interactivity to new levels, the Red Carpet is the place to watch and win this Award Season as TV Guide Network unveils two new pioneering initiatives designed to make its Award Season 2010 live Red Carpet telecasts more fun, fashionable and interactive for the fans at home.

The network today announced “Red Carpet Riches,” a consumer sweepstakes developed in conjunction with Zed, the #1 independent distributor of mobile content, that will give viewers a chance to win cash prizes ranging from $10,000 to $40,000 throughout Award Season.

Adding a new chapter to the rollout of state-of-the-art 3-D technology, TV Guide Network will also debut a revolutionary “Hologram Glam Cam” which generates virtual, three-dimensional celebrity images during the telecast. “Live at the Golden Globes with Carrie Ann and Chris” premieres on TV Guide Network this Sunday, January 17 at 6:00 p.m. ET/3:00 p.m. PT (live on both coasts) with live celebrity arrivals “Fashion Cam” coverage streaming simultaneously at TVGuide.com.

Viewers and fans can enter the “Red Carpet Riches” sweepstakes with a total of $70,000 in cash prizes throughout Award Season by texting in to win and by watching TV Guide Network’s live Red Carpet programming at the Golden Globes®, Grammy® Awards and Academy Awards®. The first sweepstakes winners will be announced on the Golden Globe® Awards Red Carpet, where two $10,000 cash prizes will be awarded during TV Guide Network’s live telecast. The second winner will also receive two tickets to attend the Grammy® Awards show at the Los Angeles Staples Center on Sunday, January 31, 2010. TV Guide Network will award another $10,000 during its Grammy live Red Carpet telecast and $40,000 during its Academy Awards live Red Carpet telecast. Visit www.redcarpetriches.com for sweepstakes terms, conditions and entry information.

As celebrities are being interviewed live on the Red Carpet, TV Guide Network will also debut a revolutionary “Hologram Glam Cam” which generates a virtual three-dimensional image of the star and what they wore previously on the Red Carpet – allowing fans to enjoy both past and present Red Carpet fashions of their favorite stars.

TV Guide Network’s “Hologram Glam Cam” was developed in partnership with Sportvision, Inc., creator of the famous Yellow 1st and Ten Line that has become a staple of all NFL and NCAA football telecasts.

TV Guide Network’s signature live Red Carpet coverage will include celebrity interviews conducted by hosts Carrie Ann Inaba (“Dancing with the Stars”) and Chris Harrison (“The Bachelor,” “The Bachelorette”) at the Golden Globe® Awards, Grammy® Awards and Academy Awards®. “A truly interactive award show is a great way to involve our fan base and enhance the celebration of entertainment and fandom that is TV Guide Network’s trademark,” said Matthew Singerman, Senior Vice President, Programming and Production, TV Guide Network, “and we believe that the “Hologram Glam Cam” will do for award season what 3-D technology has done for movies and what HD has done for sports.”

TVGuide.com will bring fans streaming Fashion Cam coverage of celebrity arrivals from the Red Carpet starting with the Golden Globe Awards® at 5:30 p.m. ET / 2:30 p.m. PT on Sunday, January 17. Fans can discuss their favorite celebrity fashions through integrated social features, and will receive updates on which stars are being interviewed on TV Guide Network’s live telecast.

In addition, TVGuide.com’s editorial team will provide award show nomination recaps, breaking news, show reviews, photo galleries and actor profiles. Additional videos and interviews with many of the nominated shows and stars will be available on TVGuide.com’s Online Video Guide.
