Let these words by William Shakespeare spirit you back to your first childhood trip to the library. Go ahead, you were encouraged, pick out three or four books; take them home and enjoy. Somehow, it was as though Christmas had suddenly come again. Well, it has.
Spring break is in the air. What a wonderful time to curl up with a good book. The library has excellent, interesting book offerings this month all at terrific prices. Mark your calendars for Friday, April 2nd from 3:00 to 7:00 pm and Saturday, April 3rd from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm: The sale will be located at the Sierra Madre Public Library, 440 West Sierra Madre Blvd, Sierra Madre in the lower parking lot and the adjacent basement.
Amidst our spring offerings: A set of Historical Atlases of the World Mythology, Volumes entitled Great Cities, Great Ages of Man, The American Wilderness, and American Country make for excellent gift ideas. Sets of Time Life Books, books on sports, history, art, specialty cookbooks. A set of Reader's Digest Best Loved Books for Young Readers and a new selection of children's books round out this months special.
Of course, outside as always, there will be a good selection of hardback Fiction/non-Fiction books for $1.00 each. Paperbacks at 25 cents (or 5 for $1.00.) Visit the sale early to get the good choices.
