Please bring a 12-inch (or smaller) glazed saucer or bowl that would be suitable for use by our feathered friends (check Home Depot or the Pottery Ranch in Monrovia for supplies). Leigh will teach you how to apply broken pottery and glass pieces (bring any special treasure you might wish to include) to adhere to the surface.

All supplies except the bowl are included. Bring a sack lunch with you (or buy at the café). Once you learn the technique, you can mosaic anything!!

Leigh Adams' love of art and children and her commitment to creating public art with children has resulted in a variety of differing art installations and activities. At the Arboretum, she created a 960 foot "DreamSnake" in the Australian section with the help of many children, using glazed tiles in mosaic patterns. She also has been involved in the creation of the Permasphere at the Arboretum, a pilot project in progress with the goal of setting a standard of garden environmentalism and sustainability.
