House of Blues Anaheim 10th anniversary concert series in January

Since opening its doors on January 12, 2001, House of Blues Anaheim, located in the Downtown Disney District, has rocked the OC with thousands of live music events featuring world-class artists in every genre of music imaginable. A concert series celebrating the venue’s 10th anniversary will take place in January 2011, and kicks off with a sold out show with Social Distortion on the 12th. The band opened the venue on the same date 10 years ago, and this will their 70th headlining show at HOB Anaheim. The show broke the record for fastest on sale, selling out in just 1 minute.

The rest of the series has something for everyone. The last two weeks of January will feature a variety of very special performances including country rebel Willie Nelson, Dashboard Confessional (celebrating the 10 Year Anniversary of their first album Swiss Army Romance), metal icons Motorhead, OC’s own Lit, classic rockers Styx, blues crooner Amos Lee, and The Wailers (performing the seminal album Uprising in its entirety).

With its distinct look in the style of a delta-styled juke joint, House of Blues Anaheim is also home to a full service restaurant serving Southern-inspired cuisine and decorated with one-of-a-king original folk art. Known for a state of the art sound system, stellar customer service, and a top-notch production team, the venue is a favorite with both local music lovers and bands alike. It has been a constant staple of both the OC Weekly and OC Register yearly “Best of” issues, and picked numerous times as the “Reader’s Choice” for best live music venue. HOB Anaheim has also won many accolades for Gospel Brunch that takes place every Sunday.
