Bodog band battle to air live from HOB LA

The season finale of the first-ever Bodog Music Battle of the Bands will air live on fuse, September 5 at 7 p.m. PST/10 p.m. EST from the House of Blues in Los Angeles. Tickets for the finale go on sale August 16th at 10 a.m. and can be purchased directly through House of Blues at www.hob.com. Tickets are $20 (inclusive of taxes and fees).

More than 7,000 bands registered and performed at 350 battle showcases throughout the U.S. The field was then narrowed down to 10 lucky semi-finalists to compete in the Bodog Music Battle of the Bands reality TV series.

Over the past four weeks, the 10 bands traveled across the U.S. performing showcases for local fans and completing a series of hardcore challenges designed to test their abilities to make it as a rock band. Eliminating one band each episode, the show featured live performances from the competing bands and criticisms and praises brought to them by the panel of expert talent judges, featuring punk rock icon Johnny Rotten of the Sex Pistols and Public Image Limited (PIL), Billy Duffy of The Cult, and punk goddess and Bodog Music recording artist Bif Naked. “Tour manager” Stryker (co-host of syndicated radio show “Loveline”) guided the bands through their experience along with a crew of celebrities who mentored the musicians on their path to a $1-million grand prize and a live on-air finale.

For the show’s finale, fans will decide via SMS text messaging the winner of the $1-million dollar record contract with Bodog Music. The show will air live on fuse at 7 p.m. PST/10 p.m. EST and the voting window (one vote per person) will be open from 7:00 p.m. - 7:50 p.m. PST/10:00 p.m. - 10:50 p.m. EST.

“After the exciting process to get here, we are thrilled to be crowning the winner of the Bodog Music Battle of the Bands in L.A. at the legendary House of Blues on the Sunset Strip,” notes Bodog Entertainment Founder Calvin Ayre. “By utilizing a diverse range of modern media we were able to find some great bands for the series.”
