RUSH TIME MACHINE TOUR, one of the most successful tours of 2010, will return to Los Angeles this summer due to the tremendous demand from the band’s local fans. The Time Machine Tour is an evening with Rush; performing their classics, providing a taste of the future, and featuring the legendary Moving Pictures album live in its entirety.

Rush will reprise their 2010 Gibson Amphitheatre appearance with two encore concerts at the venue June 20th and June 22nd. These will be the band’s only area shows on this tour. Tickets go on sale Monday, January 24th at 10 AM and will be available at LiveNation.com, select Live Nation and Ticketmaster retail outlets and Charge-By-Phone (800.745.3000).

Rush – Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, and Neil Peart – is without question one of the most inventive and compelling groups in rock history, equally famed for both its virtuoso musicianship and provocative songwriting. Rush has sold more than 40 million records worldwide and garnered untold legions of devoted and admiring fans. According to the RIAA, Rush's sales place them third after The Beatles and The Rolling Stones for the most consecutive gold or platinum studio albums by a rock band. Rush has also been nominated for multiple Grammy awards and received a number of Juno Awards.

Released in 1981, Moving Pictures was their most successful album, certified 4x Platinum and featuring some of Rush’s most well known songs and perennial radio favourites including “Tom Sawyer,” “Limelight” and the Grammy-nominated instrumental “YYZ.”

“Rush: Beyond The Lighted Stage” the Grammy-nominated and critically-acclaimed documentary created by filmmakers Scot McFadyen & Sam Dunn (whose filmography also includes: “Iron Maiden; Flight 666,’ “Metal, A Headbangers Journey” and “Global Metal”) premiered at New York’s Tribeca Film Festival last April and went on to win the highly-coveted Heineken Audience Award. Now available on DVD and Bluray through Rounder, the release debuted at #1 in the US, held the position for 10 weeks and has now scanned Platinum.

Despite the touring schedule, Rush is currently working on their 20th studio album, CLOCKWORK ANGELS, with producer Nick Raskulinecz. The band has released two new songs from the forthcoming album, Parts I & II with “BU2B” and “Caravan” last year which are also featured in the live set. Both tracks are available now as digital downloads.
