Special Community Feedback Day
at Pasadena Museum of History - Wednesday, September 2, 12-5 pm
Free Admission – Videotaped Interviews -- Refreshments
On Wednesday, September 2, from 12-5 pm, the Pasadena Museum of History invites members of the community to view the Family Stories exhibition free of charge and share your comments with us. Videographers will be interviewing select visitors to document the exhibition’s impact on individuals. Museum staff, docents, and some members of the featured families will also be on hand to answer questions and obtain community feedback.
The interviews will be edited into a short film that will serve as a kickoff to a panel discussion moderated by Larry Wilson, Pasadena Star News Public Editor, at the culmination of a free Community Celebration on Sunday, October 11, at the Museum.
The groundbreaking exhibition Family Stories: Sharing a Community’s Legacy features the personal, multi-generational chronicles of six longtime Pasadena families. The stories of the Duncan, Gertmenian, Lowe, Stevenson, Kawai, and Mejia families shed light on the experiences of our African-American, Armenian-American, Chinese-American, Euro-American, Japanese-American, and Latino communities, respectively. For additional exhibit information, please visit www.pasadenahistory.org.
Family Stories is on view Wednesdays through Sundays from 12:00-5:00 pm in the History Center Galleries, located on the PMH grounds at 470 W. Walnut St. (corner Orange Grove Blvd. and Walnut St.). Free parking is available in the Museum lot. For additional information, please call 626.577.1660, or visit www.pasadenahistory.org.
