“Doo Wop Discoveries” brings back pivotal R&B and pop vocal groups of the late 50s and 60s through never-before-broadcast archival and new live performances of their most loved hits.
Saturday, November 24, 8 p.m. – “Motown Big Hits and More (My Music)” – PREMIERE
This program of original Motown classics from 1958 to 1968 features many first-time extended stereo mixes of Motown’s biggest hits, B-sides, album cuts and radio classics from the Temptations, the Four Tops, Marvin Gaye, the Supremes, the Miracles, Martha & the Vandellas and more.
Tuesday, November 27, 7 p.m. – “Christmas with Nathan Pacheco” – PREMIERE
This Christmas, renowned recording artist Nathan Pacheco gives the gift of music, capturing the spirit of the season with inspirational, moving performances of holiday favorites including “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing,” “O Come, All Ye Faithful,” “White Christmas,” “Silver Bells” and an unforgettable rendition of the ultimate Christmas song, “O Holy Night.”
Tuesday, November 27, 8:30 p.m. – “Great Performances: Rod Stewart: Merry Christmas, Baby” – PREMIERE
Legendary rocker Rod Stewart’s first solo holiday special, with songs produced by “Hitman” David Foster, features 13 classic songs, ranging from “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” to “Auld Lang Syne,” and including duets with Michael Bublé (“Winter Wonderland”), Cee-Lo Green (“Merry Christmas, Baby”), Mary J. Blige (“We Three Kings”) and even Ella Fitzgerald (“What Are You Doing on New Year’s Eve?”).
Tuesday, November 27, 10 p.m. – “Muddy Waters & The Rolling Stones Live” – PREMIERE
This special relives an amazing night of blues with legendary bluesman Muddy Waters and the Rolling Stones.
Thursday, November 29, 7 p.m. – “The Tenors: Lead With Your Heart” – PREMIERE
This dazzling new concert takes place in the breathtaking 2,050-seat Reynolds Hall at The Smith Center, where The Tenors perform music from their newly released sophomore album “Lead With Your Heart.”
