Tribute Fridays in La Mirada in October

LA MIRADA THEATRE FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS is thrilled to present the return of its Friday Night series of happenings,TRIBUTE FRIDAYS 2012, featuring some of the most amazing tribute bands around and this time paying homage to the music of Chicago and Led Zeppelin! TRIBUTE FRIDAYS dates are Friday, October 19 & Friday, October 26 at 8pm. The lobby bar will open for Happy Hour at 6:30pm.  Party on!

In January 2004, Led Zepagain was paid the highest compliment ever when Jimmy Page caught their show at the House of Blues in Hollywood. After watching the show, he requested to meet the band in the dressing room, and praised them on their accuracy!

Led Zepagain takes their audience to a place that not only replicates a Led Zeppelin concert, but captures the heart and soul of the world's greatest band. A Led Zepagain show features all of the Zeppelin highlights, from the high energy electric classics, to the beautiful acoustic works; from the soaring leads on the double-neck guitar, to the brilliant keyboard passages, and from the high, Robert Plant screams, to the trademark pounding rhythms. From the moment Led Zepagain hits the stage, you'll believe, this is definitely the “Real Deal!”

 

KENNY CETERA’S CHICAGO

The city of Chicago has produced some of the greatest artists and bands in the music world, and hailing from the south side of that town, Kenny Cetera is no exception.  Born into a family of vast musical talents, where listening to his parents and siblings constantly harmonizing and rehearsing was commonplace, Kenny says, “Being a singer was inevitable for me.”

 

Kenny Cetera has recorded with Richard Marx, Kenny Rogers, Julio Iglesias, Bill Champlin, Agnetha Faltskog (of “ABBA” fame), and producer David Foster.

 

 In 1984, Kenny added his unmistakable tenor vocals to several songs on the Chicago 17 album - including the chart-topping "You're the Inspiration," "Along Comes A Woman" and "Prima Donna" - and was quickly recruited by the band to hit the road for one of the most memorable tours in their history. Adding a vocal element that the band never had live before, two Cetera's voices together, and playing drums, percussion and keyboards, Kenny became a large part of the stage show, a fan-favorite, and permanently ingrained in the musical heritage of CHICAGO.
