A fourth stage has been added to the second annual THE SUMMER STRUMMER FESTIVAL and will feature performances from acoustic-oriented artists including Mozella, Curt Phillips, John Nielson, Ambrose, Manda, Ari Shine, Stephanie Quayle and more. In addition, Zeke will headline the Monster Energy Stage--marking the group’s first Los Angeles performance in two years--and OneRepublic (a top unsigned MySpace artist for over a year, recently signed to Interscope) has been added to the Star Lounge Stage for the Sunday, September 2 event at Santa Monica, California’s Bergamot Station art gallery enclave (2525 Michigan Avenue). CarsonDaly.TV has also joined THE SUMMER STRUMMER FESTIVAL by co-sponsoring the Star Lounge Stage and Carson Daly--of Last Call With Carson Daly and MTV’s “TRL” fame--will be featured as a special guest MC.
Event producers Swing House (www.swinghouse.com) and The Overbey Agency (www.theoverbeyagency.com) have also announced some pre-show events in the coming weeks. All events will feature ticket giveaways and one Gibson/Epiphone guitar giveaway. On August 16, Star 98.7 will hold an exclusive listening party for winners in The Star Lounge with acoustic sets from Brett Dennen, Astra Heights, Test Your Reflex, Mandi Perkins, Jay Clifford and The Tender Box. This event will air on Star 98.7 Sunday, August 19 and will be streamed at www.star987.com . On August 22, the Air Conditioned Lounge (625 Lincoln Blvd. in Venice) will host a SUMMER STRUMMER FESTIVAL pre-party, featuring performances from Astra Heights and Charlie & The Valentine Killers.
