The Gallery, featuring Brendan Cooney (lead vocals, guitar), Ben Lozano (lead guitar), Dave Mozdzanowski (bass guitar, bg vocals) and Ryan Cooney (drums), will be releasing their brand new twelve-track album, Restless, on February 26, 2013. The album was recorded at Swinghouse Studios, Harmony Studios and Spitfire Studios in Los Angeles, with producer Warren Huart (Aerosmith, The Fray, Augustana).
The band raised $12,000 to help fund the record via fans through the crowd funding site IndieGoGo. The band's previous release, 2011's "Come Alive EP," earned them nation-wide college radio airplay, landing them on the CMJcharts, as well as gaining a Top 40 add for "Catalyst" in Ithaca, NY. "Come Alive" also received great press, including the band's selection as one of just sixteen unsigned North American artists to compete in Rolling Stone's 2011 "Do You Wanna Be a Rock & Roll Star" contest to choose the cover of the magazine. Additionally the band was chosen to participate in the 2011 Florida GRAMMY Showcase, and selected as finalists in the International Songwriting Competition two years in a row. In early 2012, the band won the "D'Addario Play Your Way to Austin" contest, earning them a SXSW showcase, as well as string and drumhead endorsements. The band loves sharing their music with fans at live shows, and has toured to more than 30 different states.
The Gallery’s hook-laden rock songs combine a mix of mainstream appeal and professionalism with indie cred and likability. Rolling Stone described their sound as “big shout-along choruses and bluesy guitar breakdowns whileAlternative Press Magazine compared them to Tom Petty.
Keep an eye out for more tour dates this spring, as well as the band's video for "Ballroom of Broken Hearts" which will be playing on over 8,500 retail channels.
