The Grand Ole Echo is back this Sunday, September 23rd!.. and we only have two more shows to offer. This week brings us Brett Detar opening the show and I know he's been working in his studio, so I'm sure we'll get to preview a few new songs! Speaking of new--this also marks the introduction of NOCONA to the scene...Chris and Adrienne Isom from Paladino with the rhythm section of Annie Rothschild (also of Paladino) on bass and Justin Smith (Old Californio) on drums! David Serby's pulling a fast one on us with his newest incarnation, The Latest Scam, bringing us new music from his upcoming release along with some older tunes! Not only that--on the backporch we've got !!!Walter Spencer's Brewglass Bluegrass Festiva!!!l with all your favorite local roots musicians chiming in with their favorite Bluegrass song! We'd like to thank Walter for being a part of the Grand Ole Echo team this year--he's done a heckuva job! Go to our website to learn more: www.thegrandoleecho.com

So, our last show is September 30th with the Mighty Dave Gleason back in town from Nashville and hitting our stage and introducing us to some new songs...opening the show is Greg Felden and he's got an acoustic EP printed and ready for sale. The GOE folks get first crack at it! Also, he took the band into the studio with Kevin Jarvis this week, expressly with the thought that I would cut a single in time for the show. Looks like it's going to turn out great and that will be available also! Rich Mahan will also be performing and he's flying in from Nashville just for us! This is his Los Angeles record release party for his upcoming record "Blame Bobby Bare", which will also be available to the audience. Cliff Wagner will be making a party on the backporch with his band, The Old #7!
To celebrate the fact that we've had a terrific season, this Friday, September 21st, we're having a podcast party to preview our September 30th show! We'd love for you to drop by (bring some beverages!) and mingle with Dave Gleason, Greg Felden and Rich Mahan (alas by telephone from Nashville)...we'd love to get you on record telling us your favorite Grand Ole Echo memory!
