Tuesday, October 2, 7 p.m. – “Mariachi High”
PBS Hispanic Heritage Month continues with “Mariachi High” which spends a year in the life of the champion mariachi ensemble at Zapata High School on the Rio Grande in south Texas. HH – Hispanic Heritage Month

Friday, October 5, 9 p.m. – “Sound Tracks: Music without Borders”- PREMIERE
This new show combines travel, soul-satisfying music and a sense of humor with top-notch journalism, hosted by public radio’s Marco Werman.

Friday, October 5, 10 p.m. – “Voces on PBS” – PREMIERE
This four-part series continues every Friday at 10 p.m. for the month of October for Hispanic Heritage Month, showcasing Latino artists, athletes and performers who reflect on their culture while defying all expectations. HH


Saturday, October 6, 12 a.m. – “Austin City Limits” – PREMIERE
Austin City Limits continues its longstanding tradition of showcasing the best of original American music on Saturday’s, Oct. 6, 13 & 27 at midnight.

Sunday, October 7, 12 p.m. – “Great Performances at the Met: Wagner’s Ring Cycle: Gotterdammerung” – PREMIERE
Siegfried and Brünnhilde’s love is torn apart by the curse of the ring. Siegfried is murdered, and heartbroken Brünnhilde leaps into the hero’s funeral pyre, causing a global cataclysm and the twilight of the gods.

Sunday, October 7, 10 p.m. – “Broadway: The American Musical”
This six-part documentary series, hosted by Julie Andrews, chronicles the Broadway musical throughout the 20th century and explores the evolution of this uniquely American art form.
