Planet Dog launches story contest

In celebration of the 10th birthday of the Orbee-TuffÒ OrbeeÒ Ball, Planet Dog (http://www.planetdog.com) has created an "I Love My Orbee So Much Story" Contest. Known as the best dog ball on the planet, the Orbee launched a decade of romping, wagging and giving in 2001 for the socially responsible pet industry leader. The "I Love My Orbee So Much Story" Contest kicked off on March 15th and runs through May 30th. Dog lovers who submit a story along with a photo or video on Planet Dog's Facebook page earn a chance to become one of ten finalists who will compete for the Grand Prize - a customized dog bed from L.L.Bean and an array of Planet Dog products. For those without access to Facebook, Planet Dog is also accepting submissions through their website. One winning "I Love My Orbee So Much Story" is chosen every week. After 10 weeks, Planet Dog's Facebook fans will vote on the top 10 stories to choose the Grand Prize winner. Along with their story submission, dog lovers participating in the contest are also required to include the name and location of their favorite place to buy Planet Dog products. The Planet Dog Retailer who receives the most mentions will win customized "I Love My Orbee So Much" t-shirts for every employee in their store. They will also win a free case of the Special Anniversary Edition Orbee Balls and the new Orbee-Tuff countertop display Planet Dog is also launching in honor of the 10th birthday. "Since its launch 10 years ago, dog lovers from around the world have gotten in touch to let us know how much their canine companions enjoy Orbee balls, how durable they are, how their dogs hug them, sleep with them, and protect them," says Kristen Smith, Planet Dog's Brand Ambassador. "We are excited to receive and share more Orbee stories through the new contest," adds Smith.
