Moonday East toasts Poetry Month April 17 in La Canada
Moonday East, the newly opened sister of Moonday in the Village, will be celebrating National Poetry Month with featured reader, Judith Terzi on Sunday, April 17, 2011 at 2 pm at the beautiful Flintridge Bookstore in La CaƱada, CA. Moonday is hosted by Alice Pero and Lois P. Jones. The reading will take place on the 3th Sunday of every month from 2 to 4 pm. There will be a feature and open mic. Find future features at: www.moondaypoetry.com Judith Terzi is the author of The Road to Oxnard (2009 Pudding House finalist of note) and Sharing Tabouli (Finishing Line, 2011). Her poetry appears widely in print and on line and has been nominated for the Best of the Net and Best of the Web anthologies. She has received awards and recognition from Alehouse Press (2009 Happy Hour Awards, runner-up), Atlanta Review (2010 International Publication Prize winner), Mad Hatters' Review (Knock Our Hats Off Contest, honorable mention), and Newport Review (2010 Bananagram Contest, 2nd place). She taught French language and literature for many years at Polytechnic School in Pasadena, California, as well as English at California State University, Los Angeles and in Algiers, Algeria. Flintridge Bookstore and Coffeehouse is located at 1010 Foothill Blvd., La Canada Flintridge CA 91011, at the intersection of Foothill Blvd. and the Angeles Crest Highway.
