Scala & Kolacny Brothers at the El Rey April 14

Scala & Kolacny Brothers, the Belgian all-female rock choir that Entertainment Weekly called “brilliantly haunting,” will take the stage at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles on April 14. That same day they will be stopping by ‘Conan’ to perform their moving take on Radiohead’s “Creep,” which has already been heard by 250 million worldwide in the trailer for “The Social Network.” Watch the video for Scala & Kolacny Brothers’ imaginative reworking of Kings of Leon’s “Use Somebody” here: Scala & Kolacny Brothers, led by pianist/composer Steven Kolacny and his brother, conductor Stijn Kolacny, released their self-titled debut album March 22 on ATCO, which also includes imaginative reinterpretations of songs by Nirvana, Depeche Mode, Metallica and U2, as well as their own original compositions. They were named one of the “Top 100 Acts of SXSW 2011” by AOL’s Spinner, and are about to embark on a U.S. tour that includes a stop at Coachella on April 15.
