All District Music Festival in Pasadena Friday
The Pasadena Unified School District’s (PUSD) stellar young musicians will showcase their talent at the second of two spring All District Music Festivals on Friday, April 1, at the Pasadena High School auditorium. This annual event provides a first-class performance opportunity for student musicians to broaden their experience and prepare them for advanced musical training. Prominent area music professionals will be on hand to serve as guest conductors. Musicians representing all PUSD elementary, middle and high school campuses will present a Middle and High School String Orchestra, and choral ensembles from all grade levels, including a mass choir at the end. Featured conductors include PUSD instrumental music faculty Keleen Lewkewich, retired PUSD music faculty and prominent local music educator Vena Luthey. Guest conductors include Jeffrey Bernstein, Artistic Director of the Pasadena and Hollywood Master Chorales and assistant conductor of the Pasadena Symphony, and Alan Mautner of the Los Angeles High School for the Arts.
