As the nation’s largest non-governmental investor in cancer research, contributing more than $3.5 billion, we turn what we know about cancer into what we do. As a result, more than 11 million people in America who have had cancer and countless more who have avoided it will be celebrating birthdays this year. Masterpieces of Tsukioka Yoshitoshi at Pacific Asia Museum May 18

Pacific Asia Museum presents Masterpieces of Tsukioka Yoshitoshi from May 18 through August 12, 2012 in the Changing Exhibition Galleries. This exhibition of over 100 prints, preparatory drawings, illustrated books and an original carved block marks the first time Pacific Asia Museum has presented a major exhibition of Yoshitoshi's work.

Tsukioka Yoshitoshi (1839-1892) is regarded as one of the most important Japanese printmakers of the 19th century. Trained originally as a student of Utagawa Kuniyoshi (1797-1861), Yoshitoshi broke new ground in composition, subject matter and technique in woodblock printing. The wide range of work in Masterpieces of Tsukioka Yoshitoshi demonstrates the range of his creativity and draws attention to the critical relationships the artist shared with his publishers throughout his career as well as the effect of market forces on his work.

The Meiji period (1868-1912) was a period of dynamic intercultural exchange and economic expansion in Japan, which is clearly reflected in Yoshitoshi's work. Depictions of steam locomotives and European dress show a new cultural landscape, and his compositions bristle with hyper energy, distinctive shading and perspective. Other subjects include demons, ghosts, warriors, supernatural animals, popular Kabuki actors and well-known beauties, which have contributed to his ongoing popularity.

Masterpieces of Tsukioka Yoshitoshi is on view concurrently with two other exhibitions exploring intercultural exchange between Japan and the West. Gajin Fujita: Ukiyo-e in Contemporary Painting, through October 7, is the first solo museum exhibition on the west coast of the Japanese-American artist Gajin Fujita, whose unique combination of traditional technique and street art speaks to similar themes as Yoshitoshi's work. Kimono in the 20th Century, on view through March 10, 2013, examines Art Deco and Jazz influences, among others, in the design of mid-century kimono and accessories.

This touring exhibition is organized by Chris Uhlenbeck and accompanied by the catalogue Yoshitoshi: Masterpieces from the Ed Freis Collection, Hotei Publishing, 2011. The exhibition at Pacific Asia Museum is supported by Toyota Financial Services, the Los Angeles County Arts Commission, Sid and Betsey Tyler, and Roy and Maurine Oban.

The Toxic Avenger to release album

French DJ and producer Simon Delacroix, operating under the moniker The Toxic Avenger, has shattered the boundaries of electronic music, creating a chillingly dark place all his own. Crafting heavy-hitters that range from dizzying, dance club numbers to twisted, otherworldly creations, his signature sound speaks to the depths of the imagination, rousing images straight from crime scene noir. Dubbed an artist to watch by Rolling Stone for his first single and following the release of two buzzed-about singles last year, The Toxic Avenger is ready to unleash his first full-length record, ANGST. Bursting with the sinister, genre-bending sound for which Delacroix is known, ANGST will be released in North America on May 29 via Little Owl Recordings.

The album opens with “Nu 1553,” an energetic track that takes listeners on a jolting ride with punctuating bursts of synth and an erratic beat. “Angst One” picks up right where the opening track leaves off before slowing into an eerie, unsettling swirl of strings that shriek with a sense of urgency and forewarning. “Alien Summer” is an electo-pop gem with airy guest vocals by Annie floating above a pulsating dance beat. Vocal melodies shine on “Never Stop,” with its infectious, anthem-like chorus hovering above layers of synth that cut through the silence like a knife. Special to the North American release are remixes by Beat Torrent and Equateur for single “3,2,1” a thumping ghostly track offering a glimpse into Toxic’s dark world with a shimmering ethereal breakdown building to an explosive climax.

In addition to sharing stages with artists like Diplo, MSTRKRFT, Bloody Beetroots and Crystal Castles, The Toxic Avenger has made a name for himself remixing tracks by Ladytron, Benny Benasi, Chromeo and others. Stay tuned for more exciting news from The Toxic Avenger as he spreads his reign of terror across the US!

Bright Light Bright Light to release album

"This album's about connections," says Rod Thomas, the man behind UK's buzz-heavy dance-pop outfit BRIGHT LIGHT BRIGHT LIGHT about his debut album MAKE ME BELIEVE IN HOPE (The Blue Team / Aztec Records Ltd; release June 26, 2012). A theme central to BLBL, the concept of connections could not be more accurate, from connecting the electronic to the organic, the dancebeats to the storyline, as well as the artist connections who add guest vocals, production and songwriting input. "All the hook-ups were really organic which is why I think they worked so well," he explains. Among the "connections" are Del Marquis of Scissor Sisters and Allison Pierce of The Pierces, renowned Grammy-nominated producer Andy Chatterley (Kylie, Kanye, Underworld), hiphop artist/producer/remixer Boom Bip (M83, Mogwai, Hot Hot Heat) and co-writer Jon Shave (Jessie J, Girls Aloud). But the album isn't a 'who's who in pop music' but a living, breathing collection of songs that's equal parts dance floor anthems, powerful songwriting, intriguing storytelling, and a real appreciation of music.

"Make Me Believe In Hope comes from a real love of making music, and I feel extremely privileged to have spent the last few years doing that," he explains. "These songs are about how people you meet or your surroundings make you feel more or less optimistic, and tease out different parts of your personality... how a chance encounter can fire up passion or self-belief, or how one city or landscape can open your mind to a hundred new things." Recorded in London, Los Angeles, and New York, the album is an amalgam of stories and textures that Rod collected in his travels, creating a multi-layered tapestry that weaves intricate dance beats into the fabric of his storytelling.

Unlike most dance music whose sole intention is to get you to move, BLBL's music makes you think as well. “I love ‘90s dance music and sample-based tracks,” says Rod. “I adore Ace Of Base. But I also love songs with storytelling lyrics and a melody that runs throughout. The two aren’t exclusive. Dance music doesn’t have to be disposable. Just because music is made with machines doesn’t mean it can’t have soul.” Rife with songs whose vocals complement the music perfectly, Make Me Believe In Hope contains two stunning singles that established Rod as one of the brightest new hopes in British pop music. The first single "Love Part II" was called “Kylie-class euphoric pop" by The Times while CityLife deemed it "a euphoric, giddy fizz-bomb of a track that practically combusts in excitement." The angst-ridden "Disco Moment" which, as ArjanWrites praises, "packs heaps of dancefloor drama that is vividly put into words by the pop crooner" while About.com chimes that it's "a haunting and compelling slice of poptronica... It's painful, gorgeous, and worth your attention."

From the lushly orchestral "Cry at Films" featuring Scissor Sisters Del Marquis (imagining life as a film where vital parts can be rewritten when they start to go wrong), to the broody ballad "Grace" (a breakup song told from the viewpoint of the one doing the dumping), to the shimmery midtempo "Moves" (lingering in a relationship that's stuck in stasis), Make Me Believe In Hope takes you through emotions and mindsets while keeping you moving. The new single, the piano house-influenced "Waiting for the Feeling," is "about having a lover who tells you all the time how much they care, but never does anything to show it," he explains. "It's all about recognising the point where you've had enough and something has to change. It's not about being a victim / being hard done by, just understanding that something's not right, what can we do about it." The visually arresting video for the track itself carries a storyline of its own as well. He explains, "The video kind of plays around with the idea of connections between people - with the sport element, and the waiting room - how aggressive or passive a connection can be, and how distant you can feel right next to someone."

"Waiting For the Feeling" video

Originally starting out in South Wales, Rod began as a folk artist with guitar in hand. “I began within my means,” he explains. “The music was acoustic guitar-led, with a few beats around it. I didn’t know how to programme and I had very little equipment. I began experimenting with a loop pedal and samples and gradually got to a prototype of the music I wanted to make – melodic pop for dance floors.” But when his management company sent one of his idols, hiphop producer Boom Bip, some of his demos, not only was a collaboration born but also his new direction. Flying to Los Angeles to work with him, Rod and Boom Bip spent two weeks working on tracks. "One was 'A New Word To Say.' I’d written it as a bluesy acoustic song and Boom Bip helped me turn it in to a big, shiny electronic production. That’s when I knew I had found my sound."

Make Me Believe In Hope was recorded in London, L.A. and New York, and was co-produced by Rod Thomas with Andy Chatterley (Kylie Minogue, Kanye West) and Jon Shave (Jessie J, Girls Aloud). It will be released on June 26, 2012 on Aztec Records.

Shimmy Showcase Sunday May 5

May 5 (Saturday) - Shimmyshowcase presents a special Saturday evening program as Viento y Agua goes back to the Victorian era with Saviya presenting a Vaudvillian/Victorian inspired belly dancing program with guest dancers Anastasia, Rebekah, Belly Muñeca, Bella, Sarah al Nour, and fellow Showcase coordinator Draca. Our very special guest artist and friend DeAnna Cameron, inspiration for this showcase, will read from her latest vaudeville-themed novel set in the Victorian era and will be autographing copies of her new book during the break where you may be further entertained by a surprise roving musician! We encourage everyone—guests and performers--to set the mood by wearing Victorian (including steampunk) costumes. Prizes will be awarded for the best ones! This special Saturday Shimmyshowcase will begin around 7:00 pm. If you love belly dance, vaudeville, or just dressing in Victorian/steam punk attire, mark your calendars now so you can join us for this blast from the past!

Please read our upcoming schedule below for additional details and to see where we have dancer openings.

Everyone is invited for a relaxing evening among friends. Select your favorite beverage, hot or cold, from an assortment of coffees, teas, smoothies or juice; add to that a tasty sandwich or pastry; and then seat yourself in the entertainment area to enjoy some really great dancing at NO cover charge!

SUNDAY SHIMMY SHOWCASE begins on most Sundays at 5:30 p.m. at Viento y Agua Coffee House in Long Beach at 4007 East 4th Street; 562-434-1182. Occasionally we have Saturday showcases beginning a bit later. Please refer to the detailed schedule below for more information.

Note—N405-W22 (7th St) transition is closed for construction, so for those coming from the south, the best way is to exit the 405 at Westminster as the detour indicates. Then take Westminster through the PCH intersection until it turns into 2nd street. Take the first right immediately after the bridge and an immediate left. That street will turn into 4th and Viento Y Aqua will be on the right.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before show time (earlier if you’re a performer!), so you can first stop at the refreshment counter to get a delicious beverage, snack or sandwich; then head for the show area and grab a seat so you don’t miss any of our great performers!

Sham 69 cancels Punk Rock Bowling & Music Festival appearance

We regret to announce that Sham 69 will not be able to make their upcoming trip to the United States as singer Jimmy Pursey has been hit with some sad news about his father. He wanted us to release this statement and sends his deepest regrets to his fans and everyone involved who had helped to make this upcoming tour possible

"In March my father was diagnosed with asbestosis lung cancer. Since then, the situation for my family has got worse and my fathers prognosis is not good as it has just become apparent that he has the most aggressive form. We have just been told that he now only has weeks to live and
indeed his condition is already deteriorating. My family has only recently lost my mother so this makes it very difficult for me not to be here for my father and family. You will have to forgive me but I have to tell you now so you can at least have time to inform all fans.
I am so sorry for this situation." - jimmy

On behalf of all of us here at Punk Rock Bowling & Music Festival, we send our heartfelt wishes to Jimmy and his family. We apologize to everyone looking forward to seeing Sham 69 at the festival with Rancid on May 27 as we were all really excited to see them too. But we all know that family is of the utmost importance and completely understand why he needs to be with his father.

We do however have some good news! We have remedied the situation and are very stoked to have one of our all time favorite bands fill the slot.

Watershed Music Festival in Seattle Aug. 3-5

Live Nation Entertainment and ACM Promoter of the Year Brian O’Connell are leading the charge for a new country festival where the music and atmosphere will rival the serene, natural beauty of the landscape. Watershed Music Festival will take place August 3, 4 and 5 at the iconic Gorge Amphitheatre and is set to feature a versatile lineup of artists, camping, late night sets, impromptu jam sessions, collaborations and more. Located east of Seattle, the Gorge Amphitheatre provides a picturesque backdrop for the laid back, country vibe O’Connell has envisioned for this truly unmatched festival. Three-day festival passes go on sale May 5th at Ticketmaster.com and LiveNation.com.

“The Gorge provides a feeling that is impossible to recreate anywhere else,” said O’Connell. “It is truly a magical place and provides the perfect setting for a cool, eclectic country event. We wanted to create something that didn’t exist, from the caliber of artists to the camping and the atmosphere. I’m excited to be a part of it and see it all come together.”

"In the storied 25 year history of The Gorge, we've been fortunate to host many of the nation's top country artists, but all have been single day concerts,” said Jeff Trisler, President of Live Nation Seattle. “For years, we've wanted to host a multiple day country festival that builds on the tremendous success for our annual Sasquatch Music Festival and Dave Matthews Band residency. We believe this event will bring that same sort of excitement and energy to The Gorge for an entirely new group of music fans."

Artists confirmed for the multi-day country fest include Dierks Bentley, Kix Brooks, Sara Evans, Brantley Gilbert, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, Thompson Square, Uncle Kracker, Dwight Yoakam, Tracy Lawrence, Reckless Kelly, The Lost Trailers, Steve Holy, Johnny Reid, Jon Pardi, Thomas Rhett, Morgan Frazier, DeeJay Silver and a local stage will feature regional acts each night. More artists are set to be announced in the coming weeks.

The Gorge Amphitheatre, located in George, Wash., is undoubtedly one of the most scenic concert venues in the world and offers sweeping views of the Columbia River Gorge. The area itself is a watershed for the Columbia River, thus inspiring the name of the event. The Watershed Music Festival will feature a limited capacity of 25,000 and will offer lawn terrace seating and premiere camping options. The amphitheatre has been the home of many historic concerts from bands such as Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews Band, Phish, Van Halen, Rush, Radiohead, Tim McGraw, Aerosmith, Metallica, Rascal Flatts, John Mayer, The Police, Brad Paisley, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and the annual Sasquatch! Music Festival.

Three day festival passes will start at only $90 and go on sale May 5 at ticketmaster.com.

Adrian Fischer releases album

As wide-eyed children, we learn that skipping a rock off of a pond creates a ripple effect. The further a rock skips, the greater the reach of the waves. As adults, we forget that we are the rocks, and the extent of the waves we create. Adrian Fischer’s full length LP “Always Dreaming” challenges you to think about the rest of the pond.

This message drives the album into a variety of musical genres, simultaneously stopping at all of them and none of them along it’s journey. It oozes this bright outlook through poly-rhythmic bass walks and drum lines, pouring out energetic guitar riffs and atmospheric key arrangements. The project explores a variety of energies, with gutsy percussion and catchy melodies that seep into open, spacey vibes.

Fischer’s musical foundation is built upon his personal view, cemented by his constant trade of pain for positivity. He also solidifies it by drawing on his Venezuelan heritage, a commonthread that lead to his collaboration with Grammy nominee Jose Luis Pardo (Los Amigos Invisibles).

“Rather than bare the troubled soul of ‘the blues,’ I wanted my music focus on the wisdom and joy that we gain from life” said Adrian Fischer, the act’s creator. “It’s easy to lose sight of the impact that even the smallest positive action can make.”

His single, “Orange Crossing,” channels a heavy influence from Jamiroquai, modernly echoing the funk legend’s dancing guitars and pulsing percussion. Lyrically, the track follows the feel-good flow of artists like Bob Marley and Michael Franti. The song will make you move, the lyrics will make you smile, and you’ll stop and consider just how far that smile can go.

PBS to air Tanglewood concert Aug. 10

PBS announced today that the Tanglewood 75th anniversary gala concert, featuring many of the iconic artists identified with the fete, has been added to the line-up of the PBS Arts Summer Festival and will air nationally on Friday, August 10 at 9 p.m. ET as part of GREAT PERFORMANCES (check local listings).

Located in the beautiful Berkshire Mountains of western Massachusetts, Tanglewood is one of the world's most beloved music festivals and serves as the summer home for the famed Boston Symphony Orchestra (BSO).

“Tanglewood 75th Anniversary Celebration” will feature the BSO, the Boston Pops Orchestra and the Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra, under the direction of conductors John Williams, Keith Lockhart and Andris Nelsons.

Performers will include pianists Emanuel Ax and Peter Serkin, cellist Yo-Yo Ma, violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter and vocalist James Taylor, as well as the Tanglewood Festival Chorus, John Oliver, conductor. The wide-ranging program, which will be taped on July 14, will include Aaron Copland’s “Fanfare for the Common Man”; Leonard Bernstein’s Three Dance Episodes from On the Town; selections from the Great American Songbook; Franz Joseph Haydn’s Piano Concerto in D, 2ndand 3rdmovements; Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Andante cantabile for cello and strings; Pablo de Sarasate’s Carmen Fantasy, for violin and orchestra; Maurice Ravel’s “La Valse”; and Ludwig van Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy.

“The BSO is one of the many great regional arts institutions to be featured on GREAT PERFORMANCES over its four decade history,” said David Horn, executive producer, GREAT PERFORMANCES. “GP has enjoyed a long association with the BSO and its summertime home at the Tanglewood festival, dating back to our extensive broadcast collaborations with Leonard Bernstein. We are delighted to return to Tanglewood for this 75th anniversary concert, which also represents a wonderful homecoming celebration for us.”

The Tanglewood concert is the seventh program in the PBS Arts Summer Festival, which includes documentaries from independent filmmakers that explore a wide spectrum of international art forms and offer an in-depth look at music, theater, art, architecture and cultural history from some of the world’s unique locations. Award-winning television, film and stage star Anna Deavere Smith will serve as weekly host for the Summer Festival, which begins Friday, June 29, 2012 at 9 p.m. ET (check local listings).

“Continuing on our commitment to bring the arts home for all Americans, we’re especially excited about the diverse and vibrant array of content this season viewers won’t find anywhere else,” said PBS Vice President of Programming, Donald Thoms. “From independent films featuring the art and architecture of the Middle East to the melodic sounds of South Texas mariachi musicians, the PBS Arts Summer Festival hosted by Anna Deavere Smith takes people beyond the spotlight of traditional arts programs, showcasing the scope of artistic mettle our world offers.”

Other PBS 2012 Summer Arts Festival programs were announced earlier this year, but the final broadcast dates are being released today.

The GREAT PERFORMANCES telecast of the “Tanglewood 75th Anniversary Celebration” is made possible by the Irene Diamond Fund, The Lillian Goldman Programming Endowment, the Anna-Maria and Stephen Kellen Arts Fund, the LuEsther T. Mertz Charitable Trust, Victor and Sono Elmaleh, The Starr Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts and The Philip and Janice Levin Foundation.

Everst to release new album

Everest Announce Release of New Album

Ownerless

(June 26, 2012 on ATO Records)

Check out Everest at one of their upcoming performances:

4/26 – New York, NY @ Bowery Electric (TOMORROW!)

5/3 – Los Angeles, CA @ The Troubadour

5/27 – Portland, OR – KINK FM on the Waterfront

ATO Records is thrilled to announce the June release of Los Angeles rockers Everest's new album, Ownerless. Described by Everest guitarist Joel Graves as a "hopeful love letter slipped under the door," the new album expands on the broad rock 'n' roll direction the band undertook with its 2008 album, On Approach. Produced in large part by Richard Swift (Damien Jurado, The Mynabirds), the new album arrives in stores and at online retailers June 26.

The basic tracks on Ownerless were initially recorded live, in a smoky clubhouse next door to a chicken coop, in Cottage Grove, OR. In an effort to raise the bar above initial expectations, the band also recorded a few songs with the help of Rob Schnapf (Elliott Smith, Booker T. Jones), with whom the band had worked on On Approach. Added Pollard, "Looking at the record now, it almost feels like there's an invisible thread that connects all the dots somehow. It just sort of happened naturally. The result, our new record: Ownerless."

In anticipation of the album's release, WFUV has adopted Everest as their “Artist in Residence” for the month of April and, with the support of Corona Extra, is presenting the band in some super fun New York City rooms. Everest have previously shared the stage with acts such My Morning Jacket, Wilco, Minus The Bear and Matt Costa. They were also hand-picked by Neil Young to accompany him on tour.

Jackson Browne and Lizz Wright benefit concert for Success Through the Arts

Jackson Browne and Lizz Wright will perform a benefit concert at The Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles for Success Through The Arts Foundation and the Fernando Pullum Community Arts Center on Saturday, June 9, 2012. Tickets go on sale Friday, April 27th through Ticketmaster. Premium benefit seating is available through www.sttaf.org.

Generally acknowledged to be jazz’s greatest living composer, American jazz saxophonist and composer Wayne Shorter will be presented the Dream Believe Achieve award at the benefit concert. Students from both Success Through The Arts and the Fernando Pullum Community Arts Center will also perform.

Success Through The Arts Foundation provides a performing arts education to over 800 students in South Los Angeles through their After-School, Saturday, and Summer programs. They utilize performing arts such as band, dance, and theater as a catalyst to propel students forward and enable them to lead rich, productive lives. In an area where the graduation rate is well below 40%, 100% of the seniors who have participated in Success Through The Arts programs are graduating and attending college.

The Fernando Pullum Community Arts Center provides superior arts instruction to under-served students in the heart of Leimert Park in South Los Angeles under the direction of Fernando Pullum. In an area where the surrounding schools offer little or no performing arts programs, the Center provides free, high quality after-school arts instruction in guitar, piano, drama, film, and recording. “Fernando’s passion coupled with his incredible arts curriculum gives these kids a sense of self-esteem and invaluable personal growth. Arts education should be a part of every child’s school experience. It’s a well-documented fact that studying music aids in the development of all kinds of cognitive skills. Fernando’s programs connect the students to the broader spectrum of their lives’ possibilities, and that’s what makes his work so vital,” says Jackson Browne.

Billy & Dolly release new LP

The San Francisco duo Billy & Dolly return with their latest LP, Dally Bon Idyll, recorded with producer/musician Jason Quever (Papercuts). Honing their straightforward, yet pitch-perfect pop melodies, Billy & Dolly are singing with a new stride on Dally Bon Idyll. More relaxed, confident, even playful, the duo soar above their earlier material with catchy riffs and harmonious vocals as much as with their intimate and immediate songwriting.

"Gold":
http://soundcloud.com/riot-act-annie/billy-dolly-gold

More About Billy & Dolly:

Billy & Dolly, the duet of Bill Rousseau and Dahlia Gallin Ramirez, have been a fixture in the Bay Area independent music scene since they first broke through in 2004 with their heavy, Moog-centric outfit, The Monolith. After five years of pavement pounding, The Monolith called it quits, but the duo kept close together, traded in the electronics for acoustic guitar and piano, and turned to the pop music of their earliest memories: Donovan, Simon & Garfunkel, and Dolly Parton to name a few. With the requisite stripping of layers and effects, the duo brought their vocals to the forefront, delivering heartfelt tales and arresting stories of love, loss, and everything in between.

Debuting in 2009 with their appropriately titled album, In the Beginning, Billy & Dolly unveiled a smoother, crisper sound than anything they had displayed in The Monolith. Still planted firmly in rock and roll, many of the songs on In the Beginning were explorations rather than determinations. Well received from their first outings, either as a duo or backed by drummer Alex de Carville (The Mountain Goats, John Vanderslice) and bassist Adam Cunha (20 Minute Loop), Billy & Dolly ran with this new-found momentum, opening shows for the likes of Dr. Dog and Apples In Stereo, and gracing stages at venues around the city, from The Independent to their personal favorite, The Rite Spot.

Shark Cam to cover Doo Dah Parade April 28

Arguably the world's largest known man eating fish, the great white shark, will take to dry land this Saturday swimming high over this year’s 35th occasional Doo Dah Parade. Equipped with a wireless camera the 5 foot inflatable remote controlled shark will, for the first time, live stream aerial footage of the parade.

Now in its fifth year, http://www.doodahlive.com/, working with event organizers Patricia Hurley and Tom Coston, the Pasadena Community Network and the Mountain Views News, has been able to catch all the zany, wacky fun that is Doo Dah — known as the twisted sister of the conventional Rose Parade— in real-time as it happens.

“The shark sounds really cool,” said this year’s Doo Dah Grand Marshal Ann Erdman. Hurley added, “Oh my gosh, this is all way too fun!!!”

The Doo Dah Shark Cam will use the “Air Swimmers” remote controlled, helium filled, balloon shaped shark. The balloon is made from a printed “ultra-durable nylon” that is thicker and more damage-resistant than normal party balloons. More information about Air Swimmers can be found at http://www.x-zylo.com/.

The shark will be equipped with a mini wireless color camera about the size of a postage stamp. The camera uses a 2.450 GHz output. The shark will be capable of reaching a height of 40 feet, although it is not anticipated to go over 15 feet. The balloon will also be tethered to assure it does not fly away.
