Arcadia Recreation offers summer music classes

If you have the urge to make music but never had lessons as a kid — or quit before you got any good — don't despair. This summer Arcadia Recreation will be offering lessons in Guitar, Drums, Piano, Violin and an all inclusive Rock Academy with instruction in electric guitar, keyboards, drums, Bass and Vocals. Most classes are for students of all ages.

Students can learn basic foundations of reading music, proper techniques and music theory as well as making new friends in a fun, friendly, non-competitive environment. All classes are taught by different instructors. Prices range from $30 to $125 for 5-8 week sessions depending on the instrument and most classes require a materials fee payable to the instructor.

Registration for summer classes begins on Monday, May 7 on-line for Arcadia residents and Monday, May 14 for all participants. For more information, consult The Peacock Buzz brochure or contact the Arcadia Recreation and Community Services Department at 626.574.5113.
