Indie benefit for music in schools Sunday

WHO: Some of hottest emerging independent artists who are growing their musical careers in the online music community and now on stage:
John West, Sabrina Taylor, Trevor Davis and Justin Hopkins, Trevor Hall, Mandi Perkins, Amanda Dumas, Shawn Pander, Venice Maki and Shawn Hlookoff.
Hosts of the evening will include John Wynn and DJ Rossstar.

WHAT: The Evening of Independence is produced by Jeremy Koff, a cellist and the son and nephew of two of the founding members of the Juilliard String Quartet. Koff’s familial passion for music translated into the Koffeehouse, which supports up-and-coming singer songwriters with intimate performance spaces.

Some of the most popular voices and talents who grew their careers from the online music community will perform live to benefit the Guitar Center Music Foundation.

WHY: To bridge the gap between the online music world and the real music world and to support the Guitar Center Foundation to re-institute music programs in schools that have cut them due to lack of funding.

5:30 – 7:00 p.m. - all-ages festival, music and picnic on grounds of the outdoor amphitheater
7:30 pm. - main stage concert
