UK rock band Sweet’s new CD, their first new recording in over 20 years, Sweet: Live In America will be sold exclusively on Amazon.com for 60 days beginning on Tuesday, July 21st. The CD will be made available via CreateSpace Disc on Demand in both digital and physical formats at the economy-friendly suggested retail price of $6.18 for the CD and 65 cents per track. Pre-orders for “Sweet: Live In America” are currently available on Amazon.com.
According to the Tolucan Sun: “The Blitz Is Back and it is coming to CityWalk: Power Pop Masters, Sweet, who generated more than a dozen Top Ten Hits worldwide, with songs like Ballroom Blitz, Fox on the Run, Love is Like Oxygen, Teenage Rampage, Hellraiser, Action, Blockbuster and Little Willy are back and better than ever. The legendary glittery fuzz-rock band plays the Universal CityWalk stage on July 31 in a free concert beginning at 8 p.m.” This event is part of the Summer Block Party series that Universal CityWalk is presenting for the summer.
Sweet: Live in America is being manufactured using CD on Demand from CreateSpace, part of the Amazon group of companies. With CreateSpace, CDs are only manufactured as customers place an order. The album is also available for digital download via Amazon MP3.
