Wine event to benefit Make-A-Wish of Greater L.A.

Ooh la la! Local wine enthusiasts will once again have the opportunity to experience a fun and festive afternoon of fine wines and fabulous food at the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles’ 16th annual Uncork A Wish Wine Tasting & Auction.

This year’s soiree, on Sunday, August 9, 2009, from 3:00pm to7:00pm, is taking place at the breathtaking Bel Air Bay Club, which boasts a panoramic view of the scenic California coastline in magnificent Pacific Palisades. The club will be transformed into a "beach chic"– themed French Riviera, complete with cabanas and a potpourri of food, wine and beaucoup– silent and live auction items. TrËs magnifique!

The highlights of the day will be the silent and live auction packages, featuring fine wines, exquisite artwork, vacation packages, and sports and entertainment memorabilia, among many other exclusive one-of-a-kind offerings.

Tastings will be offered by local vintners and restaurants, including: Morton’s, Chez Jay, Takami Sushi & Robata, San Gennaro CafÈ, Baleen, Fun Food Catering, Dandy Don’s Homemade Ice Cream, Pinks, Elevate Lounge, among many others.

Sponsors of this year’s event include: United Talent Agency, The Walt Disney Company, Capital Group, City National Bank and Strategic Equity Group, among many others.
