Dressbarn to accept items for donation to Dress for Success

55% of another person's perception of you is based on how you look. This just doesn’t mean your appearance, but also how comfortable and confident you feel and act in your clothing. And for the tens of thousands of women who lack an interview suit or a professional-looking outfit, this elementary tool turns into a major barrier on the road to self-sufficiency.

To help underprivileged women looking to re-enter the workforce, dressbarn, a leading national retailer of women's clothing, is teaming up with non-profit organizations such as Dress for Success across the U.S. for its 8th annual Send One Suit Weekend.

From February 25th-28th, gently-used suits, pants, shirts, skirts, shoes and other professional items can be donated at any of the 837 dressbarn locations nationwide. These donations will be distributed amongst local non-profit organizations to give women the ability to walk into a job interview with confidence.

Last year, more than 26,000 professional items were donated at dressbarn stores throughout the country to help this growing population of women looking for employment and striving to be productive members of society.
